OUR HISTORY
Since 1981, The COMTO Philadelphia Chapter has made efforts to ensure transportation serves all within the greater Delaware Valley region.
COMTO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association of individuals, groups, transportation agencies, private sector corporations, nonprofit organizations, and Historically Underutilized Businesses.
With 40 Chapters across North America, COMTO’s mission focuses on uplifting best practices in workforce development, active transportation, and community engagement to support a thriving transportation ecosphere.
Our Mission
COMTO’s mission is to ensure opportunities and maximum participation in the transportation industry for all minorities-veterans, adults with disabilities, women, people of color, and DBE/SBE businesses through leadership training, professional development, scholarship and internship funding, political advocacy, partnership building and networking opportunities.
The organization membership includes individuals, students, transportation agencies, private sector corporations, non-profit organizations, academia, DBE and SBE.
